I hope you enjoy the interivew and you can find Dan on social media on Twitter @DenialVibes, instagram @DBizzle_ and his websites SuckSqueezeBangBlow and JuicyPips offer a very entertaining read.

Polymaths – Episode 30

Episode 30 is here. It is becoming a little long between episodes and I am going to start addressing that. I've a number of interviews lined up to record and myself and Ash will be getting together more regularly now our hectic schedules have stabilised a little.

This episode touches a little on the aforementioned schedules as well as a Kolsen Archery update, Canada and landing a 70m high rocket back on earth – for those of you who are regular listeners you will no doubt guess that the latter is referring to Mr Musks' latest SpaceX mission.

We hope you enjoy the conversation over skype, if there's any odd noise or interference you hear, that's just Ash holding his laptop as there's no table in his backroom! :)

Check us out on twitter: I'm at @ChrisFrosin and indeed can be found everywhere under my name, Ashley can be found at @CompleteCalisthenics and follow @PolymathCast too.

Kolsen Archery can be found at www.KolsenArchery.com and @KolsenArchery on instagram and search for us on Facebook.

Polymaths – Episode 29. 'Grizzly' Jim™ Kent Interview

The second of my interview formats takes us on a journey in to the world of Instinctive Archery and a good friend of mine, 'Grizzly' Jim™ Kent. This guy is one of the reasons I stayed in archery after the first 'toe dip' as it were. A very passionate archer but with so many interesting stories about the world and his journey within it.

I urge you to check out his channel on YouTube and look him up online. Send him some love, he always appreciates the messages and look out for his G-Strings coming your way soon.

We sat down at The Red Lion in Corley for our meal and recorded this there. Check them out if you're passing.

His book recommendation which I'm going to get a copy of to read on my other podcast, From Within The Pages, is House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski and can be found on Amazon here.

Check Jim's YouTube page out here.

As always, thanks very much for listening and I hope you enjoy the conversation.

Polymaths – Episode 28

After my first interview episode Ash was in town for the weekend. We thought it would be rude not to give everyone an update on what we've been working on, thinking about and getting excited by so here is episode 28 of your favourite polymathic podcast with Ashley and myself.

Space X, Elon Musk's new solar roofs, the presidential race, Kolsen Archery and much more besides as we enter back in to our familiar chat format.

Polymaths – Episode 27. Ryan HK Interview Part Two!

Here is the hotly awaited part two of my interview with Calgary based photo and videographer Ryan HK.

We delve a little deeper in to what makes him tick in part two, and discuss leatherworking, motorbikes and snowboarding and how all this ties together to keep him being creative and fresh.

I hope you enjoy this second part and I do urge  you to throw a follow towards Ryan either on Instagram or Facebook, you can find him at the links below.

Ryan mentions the first photographer he assisted, Noah Fallis and you can check out his work here.

Polymaths - Episode 26. Ryan HK Interview

Welcome to Polymaths Episode 26 and the first of a new format where I interview some of the incredible, creative and inspirational people I know and to find out about their habits, drives and inspirations.

In this episode I talk to Calgary based photo and videographer Ryan HK and we talk about where and how he started his photography journey, what role avalanche investigation played in it and how to make the perfect sheath for your hunting knife.

As a first interview I'm very excited as to how it went and have some personal critiques to work on for the following interviews, first and foremost a better audio quality. I'm keeping post production simple on these so as to minimise the time they take but a better audio setup is going to be very simple to implement.

Polymaths – Episode 23

Part two of our double header. Still sat in the extravagant gold dining room at Ashley's and there's a slightly more down to earth discussion about life and our work without all the discussion of Mars and Pluto, honest. Not sure why we mentioned Fifty Shades of Grey at the beginning? No, neither were we.

Ash returns to host Polymaths with me this week after my Dad took the challenge last week. We finally sit down with our guitars and Ash bangs out riff after riff, we talk about a change in his writing approach and my photography and wonder what it would be like to direct your own screen play after watching Ex–Machina. And a one way trip to Mars... would you?

Polymaths – Episode 16

Special guest star this week! As Ash is very busy packing up for his house move we struggled to coincide our schedules this week. I took the opportunity to sit down with one of the most influential people in my up bringing and one who was almost solely responsible for my approach, curiosity and attitude towards life and in particular engineering and DIY if you like. Ladies and gentlemen, my Dad. Brilliant to sit down with him and talk and find out little nuggets of history. For instance, I had no idea he'd played football in an old scout hall with a football made of socks with Kevin Hector, one of the Derby County great strikers. Anyway, with no further ado, shall we get started... My Dad!

Polymaths – Episode 15

After a long weekend, where we shoot a little, Ash heads to view a new house and I get ill, we catch up and talk about everything great! Elite: Dangerous is taking Ash's attention at the moment but we discuss the effect that's having on his writing, some photography talk as I want to push my prints to an even larger scale and discuss Pegasus 1 being recorded for Audio release. Oh, and Ash's compound bow STILL hasn't arrived. I'll get mine from Blake before it does! :)

Polymaths – Episode 14

As with the last few episodes, Ash and I head out to shoot a few arrows in the morning sun before heading back for tea and blueberry muffins and record our podcast. This week we reflect on what it's like to work together on something creative, discuss space and sci-fi and ponder whether personal projects apply to both photography and writing in the same way!

Ash’s first novel, Pegasus 1, is on sale on Amazon for those of you who have gotten e-readers for Christmas presents. Get it here in the UK or search for Pegasus 1 if you’re in America.

Polymaths – Episode 13

Unlucky for some, but we sat down and talked for nearly an hour on subjects we didn't even plan to talk about. Then some archery, creative plans and having 'fuck you' money came into question. Plus listen to an extract from The Martian (all 10 seconds of it) as we discuss audible books.

And Ash is wearing his Christmas slippers :)
